Storage

Question

100+ gb of unknown apps

By ngaluotto ·
so i recently bought a pre built corsair vengeance a7200 gaming PC. unfortunately im hyper sensitive to problems and couldn't help but notice the amount of disk space i already used after installing some games. for some reason when i pull up all my apps, i cannot see how much space the big games are taking up. after digging around some of the files and googling how big some games i couldn't find where to see how much space i was using I ended up getting around 360ish gb of games i have installed. yet my storage says I have 460gb worth of apps installed and 528gb used total. Besides the games, i have not installed really any other software's besides anti virus and cache cleaning apps, and of course all the pre installed geforce/nvidia/corsair apps. Should windows 10 and all the default apps be taking up 100gb of space?

Disk space

Google.
Page file size.
Restore points.
Disk clean up.

I suggest you make a clone of the disk before you play with stuff just in case things get trashed so that you have an easy way to get back.

To see the used disk space in folders and subfolders I use TreeSize Free from https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free .
