Original config on Dell Optiplex was 1 Maxtor hard drive and 1 CD/RW. Needed a second drive, made 1st master and second cable select and daisy chained together and attached to IDE 0 and put CD on IDE1. System couldn’t see CD rom it came up as an unknown device.
Then daisy chained CD to 2nd drive on IDE 1 and left 1st by itself on IDE0. System can not decipher either device on IDE 1.
Someone tell me exactly what the config should be with jumper config as well. Thanks.
