2 networks, 2 adapters, one notebook?

by daimon . Updated 22 years, 12 months ago

Greetings all,

Ok, having recently got my new notebook which is now running quite happily on XP Pro (SP1), I have set it up with no problems on my network at home utilising the onboard network port.

Now ok, maybe I am wrong, but to set this same port to use the network in my office would probably not be possibly I’m guessing, so I’m using my old PCMCIA Xircom Network Adapter to connect to my hub in the office…

Presumably, this should work with separate IP’s/Hostnames, etc, but I can’t seem to get it all going.
I’m looking for the way to make two network profiles, and preferrably use the onboard connector.

I’m currently running a Win2000 Network in the office, the laptop as mentioned in XP Pro, the network has many other computers running 98/ME, and even 95. The bosses Laptop is also running XP, but he rarely plugs in!

Suggestions?
