I have a file server that has 2 NICS (Intel Pro 1000 MT) configured, 1 with a static IP that I use to connect with Remote Desktop. The other is configured with DHCP and an IP reservation.
I have edited the DNS entries for the NICS so that the Admin IP maps to the IP and the other maps to the server name. I am sure I have this configured incorrectly because I keep getting name conflict messages in the Log. I am not sure what impact this is having on users as they have not complained of any problems. My ideal configuration would be the 2 NICS participating on the same network, separate IPs and no name conflicts or any other types of issues.I do not want to use the Intel adaptve teaming software that was included with the server
