I have a server with 2 nics one is connected to one(our) network with a gateway 10.1.1.1 and the other connected to an internal dmz 10.0.0.2(this one goes to a load balancing box) both nics have gateways installed. when i ping somrthing on 10.1.1.1 network from the box it works for a period of time and then doesn’t. when you look at the routing table you will see that the default gateway jumps from 10.1.1.1 to 10.0.0.2(back and forth) what do i need to do to prevent this from happening. i tried changing the metric of 10.0.0.2 to 2 to see if that helped and it didn’t. please help.
