2 NICs with a boot issue

By Ganj Bud ·
I have a W2k Server system with 2 NIC cards. Card one is the external
interface with an IP assigned by my ISP xx.237.140.132 subnet 255.255.255.0
The second card in an internal interface with an IP of 10.10.0.1 Subnet
255.255.255.0 Not running afirewall or proxy. Just a clean install with
all current patches and updates.
The problem occurs when I reboot. The system seems to come up stable and
ready to go to work. But, whenever I try to access anything on the internet
I get error messages like there is no internet connection. I then watched
the connection icons in my tray and whenever I tried to hit an outside
address the only activity was on the local interface. After looking into
many things I tried disabling the internal interface. At that point
everything went to the internet with no problems. I then reenabled the
internal interface and everything works fine until I reboot. This problem
occurs every single time I reboot.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Swap your network cables and put the tcp/ip info correctly on each interface

this way your internet connection should initialize first which will be the same as reenabling your interfaces.

good luck
