Is that correct? You have installed it on a 200 megabyte capacity hard drive? Try using a larger hard drive.

It may be that you do not have enough space for the swap file. Do you have another drive installed? Also, is your computer compatible with Windows 2000? 200MB sounds like a very small drive - how much RAM do you have and when was the computer manufactured? It may also be the case that your PC is unable to run Win2k.

Post back with more details - your computer spec would help us determine what you need to do - i.e. upgrade your hardware or buy a more powerful PC.

How did you install Windows 2000 with 4 floppy disks and a CD?

You use the Windows 2000 CD and it boots and begins installation.

The 4 floppies are for recovery in the event of an error.

remove the floppy and cd before rebooting? do you meet the min system requirements, sounds very marginal.

First off, you don't meet the minimum system requirements. Get your system setup enough to be able to install Windows 2000 and let us know how that goes.

Minimum system requirements for a Windows 2000 Professional installation:

Computer/Processor 133 MHz or higher Pentium-compatible CPU.
Memory At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM; more memory generally improves responsiveness.
Hard Disk 2 GB with 650 MB free space.
CPU Support Windows 2000 Professional supports single and dual CPU systems.
Drive CD-ROM or DVD drive.
Display VGA or higher resolution monitor.
Keyboard Required.
