Hi, my network has two servers; a Windows 2000 domain controller and a Windows 2003 prodcution server. The 2003 server is not a DC. I’m planning on installing a third server; 2003 R2 and then make it a DC and then the FSMO. After which I plan to remove the 2000 server from the domain and then bring the domain to 2003 native mode. I already found info @ microsoft.com regarding the steps, but there is one other step I don’t know how to do. The 2000 server is also a file server, and I need to move all the folders to the new 2003 server and not loose the file permissions.
