We have some 2000 boxes giving us grief about the user name and password. We start the pc, it brings up the novell client login, we enter our password, then right away we get we get a dialog box asking for User Name, Machine Name, then password.
Below that it has a check box that says Change password to match network password after successful login.
We notice that there is a differnt user name in the dialog box. This is not the name we logged in under. Also the password for both user names are already synchronized with the network.
No matter who we login as, we get both dialog boxes on startup. We need to get it to one dialog box, a user should’nt have to enter this info in twice to start their pc.
We are running 2000 pro with SP2, a Novell 411 network with Novell Client 4.8 on the PCs.
We’ve tried check and uncheck Novell’s single sign on, and 2000s require a user to log into 2000.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated !!
