2003 Server exe file association

Accidently associate 'exe' with the wrong application. Now can't open some application. Anyway that I can restore the 'exe' association. I changed the registry for this key with no avail.

Any input would be appreciated.

open explorer - go to "tools" - "Folder options". Click on the "File Types" tab. Scroll down until you fing the exe association, and just click delete. It will remove any associations with the file type
