3 network segments, 1 Lan Card

    Locked

    by pinoy ·

I have 2 network segments that use Valid IPs, i want them to migrate into LAN setup without disrupting operations, while waiting for the server machines.

I want my present NT server w/1 LAN Card, to handle proxy and ftp services to the 2 segments w/valid IPs, and LAN segment. They’re on the same switch anyway. Is this possible? How or why not?

      Yes, it’s possible.

      How?

You can configure your NIC to have multiple IPs–2 valid and 1 local. As you configure TCP/IP there’s an advance button, click on that and you’re ready to add other IPs, one invalid and another valid (assuming that you have one Valid IP connected w/ Internet.
      Restart.

To provide Proxy on all segments, go to Proxy Management Console. Right click on Proxy, then Properties.
Look Security tab, look for the button that would let you construct LAT. Include on LAt the segments that you want to be included to provide proxy services services.

      Hope that helps
