Okay all,
I thought I knew this but apprarently not. Is there a good way to tell whether a system is running in 64-bit mode or 32-bit mode. My expectation was that if the CPU and the OS were both using a 64-bit version, that it was in fact, 64-bit. Now I understand that there are serveral CPUs out there that are capable of running both 32-bit and 64-bit simultaneously. Is there a way that I can look at the version of the OS alone and identify that it is 64-bit? Do they specifically say 64-bit? and if the OS is not capable of 64-bit, even though the CPU is, does that mean that it is only running 32-bit?
