Has anyone else dealt with a problem with 3Com Ethernet PCMCIA cards and temp files? What is happening, is we are getting up to 1.5 GB of temp files (which, by the way, takes a couple of hours to delete) in the C:\TEMP directory. These keep buildingup, unless we remove 3Com’s diagnostic progam tray icon, by removing COMSMD [COMSMD.EXE -on] from the registry (HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run).
Is there a better way to keep it from building these temp files? Why does it keep adding temp files?
I checked Microsoft’s Technet and 3Com’s website, and have found nothing.
Thanks!
