I have 250 plus computers fielded with 3COM 3C905B/C nics, and S3 Virge PCI graphics cards. The systems were installed as stand alone NT workstations, but are now being networked. Loading NT networking makes the boxes VERY unstable, lockups and crashes.
There is some worrd in the 3C905 readme file that states a problem exists with this combo, but no real fix.
The systems are as follows:
Gemlite (intel 440BX chip motherboards)
S3 Virge DX (375) PCI graphics cards
NT 4 SP5
