I’ve got a ECS-Elitegroup P5TX B-pro (Socket7, Baby-AT) motherboard with i430TX-P5TXBproC-00 BIOS (dated 07/17/97) and a 4GB HDD. Is it possible to upgrade to a 40GB HDD? The existing BIOS doesn’t see the new one (Maxtor), and Maxtor Maxblast manager software crashes after loading. I found a later BIOS on driverguide but I’m not sure if it will work.
