4k scsi controller card replaced by 7k
the scsi configuration was copied from the drive to the controller card.
we have 2 arrays with 2 logical drives. everytime the synchronisation completes only 1 logical drive comes online.
after several attempts we got the 2nd logical drive to synchronise. after reboot the drive went on to the disk error checking at startup
i kept getting the following error:
1. deleting corrupt file record segment
2. deleting corrupt attribute record from file record segment.
these kept happening for over an hour & finally it has stopped with a message "file verification completed"
1.how do i get the process to move on from this process or do i forcefully shut down the server?
2. does the above errors mean that the files were deleted, will the data be secured? this we ask because we are not sure with the reliability of our backups
3. if we replace the 7k scsi controller card with the original 4k controller card, will we be able to successfully retrieve all configuration & data?
OS = Windows 2000 standard edition sp4
please advice
cheers
