My Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 won’t let me make copy of a data CD from my 50X CD ROM directly (without image file on hard drive) at 6X or 4X . It will do it at 2X. It gives me a message “CD ROM too slow”. My CDRW is a Smart and Friendly 6424 as master on the same IDE cable as the CDROM set to slave.
CD ROM transmits on DMA , CDRW defaults to PIO mode 3. Any ideas?
