871w doesn't "see" bridge

By berourke ·
871w with advanced feature set as access point, works great with clients, wap2000 set as bridge, site survey sees 871, gets Mac address but can't connect.

Using configuration pro, see clients, but not the wap2000

Is there some configuration needed on the 871 to enable a wireless bridge?

Any help greatly appreciated

I've never seen a bridge work between two different brand of products

Thus, does the Cisco 871W support using the Linksys WAP2000 as a bridge? I would seriously doubt it.

I don't think the 800 series supports 'non-root bridge' mode at all, thus I don't think this would even work with a cisco bridge or AP as a partner.
