A bigger threat than Conficker: Ghostnet

GhostNet might not infect or impact as many people – it is quite targeted. But the implications for the internet and cyberworld are greater.

A group in Toronto has unravelled a network of poeple spying on the Dalai Lama, his supporters, embassies all over the world and even NATO computers. One hundred and three countries have been affected.

One of the stunning revelations is that the spyware could turn on your webcam without your knowledge and watch you, as well as turn on a keylogger.

It appears that China is where much of the information gets sent. It seems impossible to pin it to the Chienese government though.
