Machine involved:
Emachines W4620;
age 4 years;
CPU AMD tl-32;
RAM 2 gigs.
Does not do ATI X200 graphics without blue screens.
Cannot find Conextent (Realtek) modems or nic’s.
Frequently looses external USB drives or reports them as unformated.
Will not install AC-97 audio drivers.
This is build 7600.16385, the RTM version. This is the first time I have installed it on a machine natively. Yes I started with old hardware. The reason is that the hardware is fully supported by XP and Vista. Compatibility mode failed on above drivers.
Looks like the same old Vista from this angle. You had so much promise M$. You failed us again.
