I'm voting Democrat

Thinking out loud........

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as Government sees fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Democrat because I don't believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there, they will come over here and I won't have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

Makes ya wonder why anyone would EVER vote Republican, now doesn't it?

Sorry Max; saw this and figured you'd get a laugh from it.

Good one!

Sadly the republicans (president bush) with a democratic congress are and have increased spending more than the democrats (president clinton) with a republican congress did.

Palin has managed a city of 19,000, the second largest city in AK?

And acted like a democrat by sucking at the federal money trough. travel allowances while at home, stealing perks...

--- on the other hand ---
Obama is charismatic.
he also has extensive experience: 2/3 of one decades in the Illinois legislature!

(reminds me of saturday night news announcer, proudly announcing that SNL news was serving us for over one fiftieth of a century!)

and wants to cure everything by govt programs spending money. 'poof' the money fairy at the fed inflates our currency, creating money for future president obama to destroy the economy. Problem is the republicans appear to want to do exactly the same.

We are totally screwed, no matter WHO is elected! Moronic pres bush was extolling us to go out and buy SUVs in 2000! besides being a stupid idea what biz is it of govt to even think about telling how and where to spend it?
(from Aliens: "we're all gonna die")

abominations in spending that are now and will in future destroy the US economy like a 700 ton lead anchor: (promulgated by an old boy network in washington, these are just some recent ones)

bailout of bear stearns, $billions
bailout of fannie may and freddie mac: hundreds of billions
proposed bailouts of ford, gm, chrysler: hundreds of billions
hundreds of billions of non-existent money created via interbank loans by the fed.

I'm scared,
of our money becoming worthless
of not being able to buy basic services
of our country being broke and not able to defend itself when food crises trigger mass migrations and wars
of us not being able to afford switching to new energy sources
Dang! should we all move to Chile? Australia? Vanuatu? (scrub Vanuatu, will be underwater after a few more 19mile wide chunks of ice break off antarctica and greenland)

Not sure I can vote for either of these candidates. That is the worst part!
Hopefully I've P/O'd some of you, scared the rest into doing SOMETHING.

I'm not sure what should be done it looks hopeless, maybe we should make a movie about it and James Bond or Captain Janeway or Vin Diesel will save us with only 3 seconds to spare, and say 'not even close...'

Thanks for saying that. <nt>

N ever mind!

I guess with all these quakes at once,
the black holes have been materialized by CERN activating their collider.

Never mind that they haven't collided any protons yet.

All those silly worries about the economy, never mind.

THe money fairy's trillions will now be sucked into the gaping 74 trillion money pit that will soon appear near the French-Swils border under CERN.

Happily, as the center and creator of the internet, I'm sure there will be a webcam to capture it all for posterity, as building and budgets fall pell-mell into the 'cauldron of fire' along with the 6-billion one-ring to rule us all? I mean those magnets were 700 tons each, that's got to start sinking soon... :)

bah! humbug!

by Jaqui In reply to N ever mind!

they have been colliding subatomic particles for years without creating a black hole.
the new collider under CERN is just bigger, so moving the particles faster.

besides, UBC staff were involved with building one of the Detectors. [ Atlas, th bigger of the two ]
And we ALL know Canadian's build things right.

Tacoma Narrows vs Lions Gate: "Galloping Gertie" came down fourth months after opening, Lions Gate still up, older than the Tacoma Narows, ZERO rust / corroson in the ORIGINAL cables used in construction.
