A newbie

I'm wanting to learn Linux I have a 100 mhz pentium box 2gig HD an 64 mb ram can some one reconmend a version of linux that will run ok on this box

Your hardware is so limited that you would not be able
to fit a modern Linux distribution on the hard disk. You
could fit a very old Slackware distribution but that
would be like learning MS DOS to gain understanding
of W2K. In my opinion your only hope is to use one of
the distributions that run off the CD ROM drive. Here
are a couple of links.

In my opinion a minimum configuration to be useful
would be an HD of a least 6GB, 256MB of RAM, and a 1
GHz cpu.
