    A+ Certification

    by ciscoman1 ·

I am currently taking the A+ Certification course at school and I heard somewhere that in June 2000 that Microsoft was changing their A+ test so that it will no longer include the Win 3.1 section which is part of the course that I am currently taking, is this true? And if so do I have until the end of June to take the old test with the 3.1 section in it? Ciscoman1@peoplepc.com

Hi, you are right that the test is changing, but not in June. The earliest would be this fall. A+ is not a microsoft exam, you need to check for updates about the test at TIAcomp’s website(A+ is vendor neurtral). 3.1 will be dropped and 98 will be added; customer service section will be dropped and basic linux will be added. You can find discussions about all the changes at training sites such as http://www.brainbuzz.com. You also can download practice tests or find links to sites that discuss A+ requirements in more detail. Good luck.

Thank you for your help as I will now have time to complete my A+ before the new update takes effect. I know I should understand linux but I will have to do it on my own time
