Ok everyone got this as a pm

One of your fellow TechRepublic members has sent you a private message:

Subject: help pls

I had 2 locations across the country. The networks were connected
using a VPN between the 2 locations. The connection is ok but i can ping the
server but The problem is I could not add it to the domain.
Shall We have to ship the computer back to the main office just to add it to the
domain or (backup)and (restore) to make it avilable.

My question is, with active directory, can we build a server at the remote
location and attach it to the domain as additional when the locations are
through a VPN?

So, my thoughts were don't see any reason why not...

what do you guys think?

A new member no posts whatsoever, adds you as a Contact, then PM's you and gets straight to the point in a somewhat confusing way.

Don't ya love it.

That's where the Delete Key comes in handy. :)

Sometimes you gotta be cruel to be kind.

But just deleted it, viewing it as evidence of an impudent act.

This guy has all the presence of the Invisible Man, and I prefer to stay the **** away from bandages if at all possible.
