Hello, fellow techs,
I have a PC which is generating an error I have never seen, and it springs up at almost any time, even when the PC is inactive/idle.
The PC:
Dell OptiPlex GX 150. A11 BIOS (Latest)
Windows 2000 Professional w/ SP4
CompUSA USB 2.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure
w/ 320GB Western Digital Hard Drive
Error:
Windows – Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\HarddiskVolume4\$Mft. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your company hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
This is a PC which is linked to another two by a 4-port hub. I can’t seem to find any answers. Can anyone give me a hand?
