About Messenger On Proxy

Hi,

I m using Yahoo Messenger on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.But i m not able to open webcam because I m using proxy to open yahoo messenger.Is there anyway which I can open webcam on proxy.And why we can’t use webcam when we connect through proxy.
I would appreciate if someone assist me.
