Hello My name is oscar and My question is, I have a motorola cable modem and im using comcast, My friend has the same service and has one modem in his leaving room for his playstation 3 and xbox 360 with a router, so he decided to add another modem for his room so he has have the same speed but not having to move the modem everytime so he went to besybuy and got another modem for like 80 bucks and he installed it, it was asking him for the account number but he didn’t have it at the time so he called his friend that works on computers and his friend said no probelm just brin the old modem so he did and he some how extracted the account number out of it and added it to the new one, How is this possible can anyone explain??
