About NAT

The old fashin way is to buy a product called "lanrover". people dial in and are authenticated and given an ip address assigned by the built in dhcp server in lanrover. one authenticated they will have free roaming of your network including your iisserver. Now people use the RAS function on there win2k servers were they create an account and enable the specific users or groups access through the RAS. you can even give protocol rights those users and the extent they can get into the network. such as ..access only to the server or pass through to the entire network.
