hi,
i had installed win98 on one partition and win2000 on other partition of the h.d.d. now i have formatted the partition of win2000 and still it asks me which o.s. you want to start during the booting process. how can i get rid of that booting options screen during the booting.

If I understand correct in this moment you have only Win98. Make a startup diskette for Win98 and add on it sys.com. Boot your computer with this startup diskette and from <a:> run <sys c:>.

You are deleting W2K from dual boot
Boot computer with the Win 98 startup disk inserted in floppy and at the command prompt tye SYS C:
You can also see the help menu to assist with deleting the boot files associated with W2K
