How long do you think these Realme smartphones last? I am planning to buy a Realme 8i smartphone with Helio G96 processor. Is it a good device?

Re: realmi 8i

This phone has been introduced in India yesterday, so nobody still has used it and there are no independent reviews.

How long a phone lasts depends on how you use it. Generally, the battery is the shortest living part. Not all phones have replaceable batteries.

Basic user, no gaming

by ankitgupta040795 In reply to Re: realmi 8i

Even though I am opting for a Mediatek gaming chipset, I normally watch Netflix and use social media on my smartphone. Nothing huge with camera. So I guess this smartphone might do. I also had Vivo Y33s in my mind.

I dont know about this version of redme. But still I am a realme user since one year and it is in a good condition till now. I also agree that it depends on how we are using the phone.

Go for good hardware

by tusharsharma040793 In reply to About Realme smartphones

Realme smartphones do not promise the best hardware. If you want mediatek chipsets, go for a device like Motorola Edge 20 Fusion which has much better hardware quality and Stock Android as well.

A decent smartphone

by seoteam In reply to About Realme smartphones

Hi Ankit,
Since you are not a hardcore smartphone user, it may last you around 30 months. It has a good processor and it may not slow down anytime soon. It's better to go for a 128GB variant as it won't give storage issues later.

Samsung devices are good

by tusharsharma040793 In reply to Good option

A lot of Samsung smartphones like Galaxy m32 5G with Mediatek Dimensity 720 chipset have been doing well in the mid-range. You can go for these.

Confused now

by ankitgupta040795 In reply to Samsung devices are good

I have still not bought a smartphone because now I am so confused among many. The Vivo Y33s smartphone also looks good with its Helio G80 chipset.

Yeah, could be confusing

by tusharsharma040793 In reply to Confused now

After the launch of so many good devices at the same price, I think could always be confusion. Although, I like that most of these devices have good Mediatek chipsets.
