    about snmp

    I install the snmp server in the windows NT 4.0 thought the network propority windows, after that, I try to use some network utility such as “netstat”,I got the error “Can not locate the entry for snmp in snmpapi.dll, and the interface init fail: 2”
    no respond from the command.eventhough I uninstall the snmp server,the result is the same,what should I do?

      You must be referring to the SNMP agent for NT 4.0, because NT4 doesn’t ship with a management system (the Microsoft SNMP server is SMS, a back office add-on.)
      When the SNMP agent is loaded, this error commonly occurs if the service pack is not re-applied. Re-apply the current service pack and your problems should be over.
      Remember, the service pack can only fix what is currently loaded into the O\S. Any service additions should be immediately followed with a re-application of the SP.

      Reinstall the service pack. That should fix the error.
