About Windows 2000 and Windows 98

Hi,
I have one w2k adv. server with active directory installed with some policies enabled.I am trying to connect my windows 98 system with w2k server.But when i try to connect it ask a IPC$ password and when i enter my server password it gives me error that password not correct but password is working in other prof. clients and also on server.How to connect my win98 system with w2k server.

do you have an account created on the win2k server with exact same username and password as is used on win98 system (implement Client for Microsoft Networks as primary network login...) and have workgroup name same as domain on win98 machine...

Also, on the 98 machine, go to the properties of Client for MS Networks, make sure you're logging into an NT Domain, which is the name of your domain.
