Access 2000 Database Repairing Problem

by haroonattari . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

An important database of mine was corrupted. The situation is that when I open that database it asks for a password (because the database is password protected). When I enter password is say that “You or another user may have unexpectedly quit Microsoft Access while a Microsoft Access Database was open. Do you want Microsoft Access to attempt to repair the database? Yes/No”. On choosing Yes it gives error message as “Not a valid password.” and after that it gives message that “The database can’t be repaired or isn’t a Microsoft Access database file.”

I have tried to recover the database by creating a blank database and importing tables from the corrupted database but the same messages appears as above. I shall be very grateful if any one can help me in this regard.

Is there any software out there which I can use to recover the data? Thanks for the info.
