Access 97 Permissions

By djpinson ·
I have a databse that someone was working on and completed. He added "permissions" which is O.K., but I want to remove the permissions.

I used the "Documemnter" to display the User and Group permissions. However is there a way to remove permissions without having the "passwords"? And still be able to maintain access to the database?

If you have Administrator rights go to the database and change ownership to administrator then change the permissions.

To take ownership of files or directories

1 In My Computer, select one or more files or directories.

2 On the File menu, click Properties.
3 Click Ownership.
4 Click Take Ownership.

Thanks, for your help. It put me were I needed to be.

Unfortunately, ownership belongs to "Superviser" and it would not allow me to take ownership.

Thanks, again
