Access 97 report paper size problem

By Pozet ·
One of my clients uses Access 97 on a Windows XP computer. Some of the reports are to be printed on custom size paper. Although the size of the page for the report and the size of the paper in the printer settings are correct, when doing a preview or when printing, the size of the paper remains A4, and 2 reports are appear on a page.
Is there something I am missing ? Is this a bug ? Is there a way around it ?

These are set in both Access and the print driver properties?

And the page layout as well?

I don't have a printer driver to check against right now, but there is a setting for printed pages per sheet (1, 2, 4...). I know I had a fight with the same issue on one occasion when printing from Excel, the printer settings had to be changed several times before they would stick.

Thanks for your answer.
1. Printer driver, Access and the page layout, all have the same settings.
2. In the page layout, one report per sheet is set.
3. Browsing internet, I discovered that there were several such problems in Access 97 and 2000 under XP. One suggestion was to set the default paper size of the printer to the desired custom paper size.
I'll try that today.

I solved the problem by selecting the Microsoft Document Printer as printer, enter the size of the custom paper and print once to it. Once I changed to the real printer again, the problem had disappeared.
High time they upgrade. Thanks again.

Thanks for your question. Yes I did. The problem was there even at the print preview stage.
Actually I solved the problem by selecting the Microsoft Document Printer as printer, enter the size of the custom paper and print once to it. Once I changed to the real printer again, the problem had disappeared.
High time they upgrade. Thanks again.
