I have recently had to reformat my C drive and reinstall Windows 95, Office 2000 et al, and since then can’t get into my hardware database. Which is – and has always been on drive D. For some reason it asks for a password and on providing the sameproduces the response – “Not a valid password or account”. Oh yes it is! Is there a registry entry that’s been lost or is it something else. I had to re-install Access a month or so ago, and hd no real problems getting in. I’ve tried password recovery tools that told me nothing I didn’t already know, and Accent Office Recovery Tool (from www.officerecovery.com) which didn’t do owt. Oh what, Oh what can I do? Despair is setting in fast and I really don’t want to have to re-enter over 1000 entries that have already taken 2 months work.
Can anyone help?
