Access Export to Excel

by rdbrill . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

When exporting a recordset (a defined table of records or a recordset that is the result of query) from Access2000 to Excel2000 using Tools -> Office Links -> Analyze It with MS Excel, any memo field in the Access table is truncated in the corresponding cell of Excel. It appears to stop at 125 characters in a cell. Some of the Access records have memo fields longer than that. Is this a limitation in the format(text) of an Excel cell? Is there a setting that I am missing or is there a work around to this limitation. FYI, importing into Excel from a .csv file appears to have the same result.
