access is denied

hi again and thankyou for all your suggestions and replies for my inaccessible HD,i was able to recover it with a data recovery program.but i have another little problem.i transferred folders from c: to e: in order to do a reformat,after the format i was unable to open those transferred folders in e: gives msg error>> is not acessible access is denied (e:drive is a separate HD from the one that i had to recover it is not in my pc at all)all the other folders that were already on the e:drive open,but now all the folders i transferred over from c: won't open.someone told me that i write protected the folders.i don't know how since i don't know how to do this and can i undo this?? and open those folders again??

i know someone there has a solution

Login as administrator (or an admin account) and change the properties of the folder access allowed by all users (even guest if that is how you are logging in).

Sounds like it is locked as your old login or the one you used to copy the files.

If it does not let you change permissions you may have to change the ownership of the folders. To do this right click the folder and go to properties. Then go to the security tab and click advanced. Now under the owner tab it should tell you who the current owner is and let you change it.
