Access logically damaged ZipDisk drive?

by rhanlon2 . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

Help! I backed up my mail archive to my 250-Mb ZipDisk drive, then re-installed NT-4.0 to clear a corrupt registry. Had to re-install the ZipDisk driver after NT came back. Should have removed the Zip cartridge, but didn’t… Whoops! Reinstalling the driver damaged the zipdisk initialization, & now the Zipdrive won’t let this particular cartridge come “ready.” All other cartridges work just fine. Tried to use Norton DiskDoctor, but DD uses the standard ZipDrive software & so can’t access the logically (not physically) damaged cartridge. Is there some way I can tell the Zip drive to “access that thing anyway”?
