Access my IIS 5 at child domain?

Why I can’t use other domain name to access my IIS5 hosted in a child domain called pc3.west.sample.com in my home Lab.In the Internet Service manager, I created a new web site called testmcse.com with IIS permission script source access,Read, directory browsing. In advanced tab of web site, I created a host header name called testmcse.com with port no.80 and IP address 192.168.0.2-the IP address of child domain. The IP address of parent domain,asample.com is 192.168.0.1.
Problem now when I type http://testmcse.com,it will return the page cannot be displayed. Only when you type http://pc3.west.sample.com,then you access website.
My question how to acees the website by typing http://testmcse.com? Do you need to create DNS record at parent domain or child domain? If need creation such DNS record, you require a standard primary zone or Active Directory-Integrated Zone?
I haven’t studied Active Directory and network infrastructure.
