In Access I have a column in a table that has 11 characters “N0038372347890” example is there any to sort the column/table by the sixth through the ninth character ascending? i.e. N00383″7234″7890 sorting by the 7234 part, ignoring the rest of the number. This is a government shipping document number entered by a scan gun, and the four numbers in question are the date.
