Access Report Published in Word

By vedasetc ·
My ACCESS2000 Reports have images (photos, lines, grayed-out text boxes, etc.) and, of course, text data. Yet when I "publish" these reports in WORD2000, only the text data appear -- but not the images. How can I have everything in my reports appear in my WORD document?

Access Report Published in Word

I am only familiar with Office 97. When I export (save as/export) a report from Access to Word, I select the rtf (rich text format) extension file. This format allows all kinds of text and images to be published.

Many thanks for your suggested solution.

I also have Office97 (Access97 and Word97) and did what you wrote. My Access97 report contains a bar chart, and several text data are highlighted (with yellow color). Whenit was exported as an ".rtf" file and viewed in Word97, the bar chart is gone (only white space remains to denote its position and size) and so are the highlights. Only the text data remains.

Any other suggestions?

You could try using the VBA 'outputto' command which gives some level of control of the output file type and if you use the true option will start word automatically.

Many thanks for your suggestion. But, how do I use the VBA 'outputto' command from within Access? Can you provide the specific steps to do this? (e.g. Open 'Reports', click 'Design', click 'Tools', etc.)

Since that question is so old, and you rejected all those answers, why don't you just close your question?

I have not received any satisfactory answer, and my problem begs resolution (and I'm sure other Access users are interested in finding the answer!). Thus, I cannot withdraw (nor close) my question.
