Access Report Question

By bparks ·
I have an access report that contains subforms. In each subform you have to selection criteria to pull the proper records, you are prompted for this selection. However, often the selection is the same for all of the subforms. I am looking for a way to create another report that prompts you only one and then populates the subforms.

Any ideas on how to do this?

By the way this is with Access 97.

You could create a hidden text box on the main report, and prompt for the criteria and save the text to the text box. Then tie each subform to that textbox.

From the subreport, use the Link Child Fields and Link Master Fields properties to createthe link to the text box.

Hope this helps.

Didn't work. It is still doing the same thing and when I tried to do the Master-Child Link it dropped the sub reports.
