Access Skills Assessment (TechRepublic)

Recently I was reviewing your Access Assessment Quiz and had a question regarding one of your answers. The question was #7 of the Beginning Access Test – “End users should use which of the following for entering and editing data: a) Reports, b) Forms, c) Tables, and d) None of the above.

The answer as given in your Answer Key was c) Tables. Could you explain why a developer would want an End User entering and editing data in the database table? In all of my experience I have never given and End User access to the tables. I have always provided a form that connects to the Table. Please let me know why you would want an End User behind the scenes. Thanks Mary
