access to w2k from win98

Hi! I need to get a user to be able to access a windows 2000 computer through the network on our site and from a windows 98 computer there is a password restriction. The box looks like: //d2y//… Password: I tried the password for the administrator of that w2k box but to no success. Please help! Thanks so much! Linda
