access to windows xp home

hi all;
i am feeling a trouble to access windows xp home edition from windows 98 or windows 2000.
windows xp system and windows 2000 or windows 98 system has same workgroup no dns or dhcp, problem is that when i find a windows xp system from windows 2000 to access in username and password window appear and i enter a username and password which is windows xp system username and password and its also logon from this username and password but it can not access no error accured.
can everyboody help me for this problem

1. Create the same user accounts and passwords of Windows 98 and 2000 in Windows XP Home.

2. Uncheck Simple file sharing from Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View

i did create a same user name and password on win xp system and find from windows 2000 system username and password windows appear i enterd same user name and password but still i could not access or enter in win xp system

Make sure Firewall on XP is not enabled or in the Exceptions make sure File and Print Sharing is enabled. Also on ADvanced, in IDCMP make sure Allow incoming echo requests is enabled so you can ping XP machines.

1. limit ur winxp computer name to 11 characters, coz win98 will have a browsing problem

2. u must not cancel win98 login, or same problem

3. file and printer sharing must be enabled

4. must already have a shared folder on all machine (this sometimes do the trick)
