An access violation is essentially something that is not supposed to happen. "Access Violation = A program called another program and found a problem."

I was kind of able to figure out myself that an access violation was something that "is not supposed to happen!"
When programs crash (something that is not supposed to happen) it is often caused by an access violation. I would like to know what that is.

Programs access memory when going about their work. Since no two programs may access the same memory address at the same time you get an access violation when it happens. These are usualy due to bus in the program or heaven forbid bugs in the operating system.
