Accessing a directory

By the_nomad ·
After a year working, my WXP was reeinstaled, after that I tryed to access a folder and it gave me access denied. I tryed cacls, and xcacls, the last one gave "Directory: E:\Documentos
Error -2147217406: occurred setting Win32_LogicalFileSecuritySetting object. (Msg#501)
Error description: Not found"
I looked at microsoft KB and nothing helped, can any one of you?

If e: is a NTFS parititon, try to take ownership of E:\Documentos with left click on folder, properties, security, advanced, owner.

If this is a backup copy or something similar you'll need to take ownership of the files by following these directions

If the data was encrypted you may have a problem with the reinstall and you may not be able to recover the encryption keys but here is the method to recover Encryption Keys if you have a Clone of the Drive or something similar.
