accessing a standalone pc from a network

By mick.roche ·
I have two users with a problem . User A uses a kvm switch to connect between her network pc and a standalone pc in her office. Her boss user B ( in the adjoining office) wants to be able to connect to her networked pc and also connect to the standalone pc that user A is connecting to . How can I set up user B so that she can also connect to the standalone pc ?

Remote connection to "standalone"

by TG2 In reply to accessing a standalone pc ...

Replace the KVM with an IP KVM that supports two users.

one would be attached to the network pc while the other person could connect to the stand alone pc.

cheaper IPKVM's are one user, so it might cost a bit more for a two user, and ofcourse only one person can be on a system at a time without some form of desktop sharing (built in via XP's Help & Support, or Addon like PCAnywhere or VNC)
