I'm afraid we need more info about your question. Basically, an XP client which is part of a W2KS domain is _already_ accessing ADS. It even has a machine account in ADS, and logon is also accomplished using AD. You can run code on the XP machine accessing AD, e.g. in VBScript or VStudio.Net and use ADSI or LDAP or NT-like calls.

But you might mean something different with 'access AD' - so please be more specific then.

If you need access to AD tools - such as Active Directory Users and Computers - you need to install Windws Server 2003 (that's right -2003) Administration Tools Pack (adminpack.msi).
Read the MS KB article 304718. This gives you good overview of different options you have for administering windows 2000 server machines from windows xp based clients. There is also a link to download adminpack.msi file.
